Hail Harmonius Sri Lanka!

Sri Lanka was and is one of the best places in the universe where different religious and ethnic groups lived with peaceful co-existance harmoniusly. But as far as Indians--Indian Tamils are concerned we should form a support line with preferences. First we should support Indian-Tamils then Indian Origin Tamils living abroad and then comes the ethnic Tamils of other countries like Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Mala Theevu, Myanmar, Singapore. In Sri Lanka when Indian Origin Tamils were struggling for their survival in the tea and rubber plantations, Sinhalese and Sinhala-Tamils joined hands to quell their agitations, by calling them 'Kalla Thoni'. Indian Prime Minister Sri Lal Bahadur Sashstri intervened at that time. An agreement popularly known as Sirimao - Shastri agreement was signed. About 3 Lakh families of Indian-Tamil origin returned to India as Repatriates. Afterwards, Sinhala-Tamils turned against Sinhalese, for their democratic rights. When they took up the path of armed struggle, Colombo sent Military. Sinhala-Tamils killed 13 Military-men and thus began a continuous armed struggle. Leaders of Tamilnadu like Karunanidhi and Veeramani, spit Venom by telling and writing that Sinhalese are of Aryan origin and Sinhala-Tamils are Dravidian descendants! This enfuelled their enmity. Even now these leaders never care about the Indian-origin Tamils and never choose to advise outfits like LTTE to go friendly with Indian-origin Tamils of Eastern Province. Without their co-operation this conflict would not end in a peaceful way. Now in to-day's situation it is better for the LTTE to surrender and let the younger generation of Tamils organize themselves and carry forward their struggle for their rights.
